  • When a payment is missed, we will send you an email notifying you of this. The email will include a link to update your payment method.

If you’re experiencing financial difficulties, please reach out to discuss this with us. We’ll always do what we can to help.

  • Yes. All children and young people go through our intake process. Even if your child has been assessed as Gillick competent elsewhere, we still need to confirm their understanding of the care they’re asking for. That includes the risks and benefits involved.

That said, we do our best to keep this as simple as possible for families transferring from other providers. Usually, young people new to Anne Health need at least three sessions with a therapist before moving on to a doctor. If you’re transferring from another provider, two sessions may be enough, unless we think more are needed for safety or support.

We also offer regular follow-up sessions as part of your care. These are more like check-ins than traditional therapy, and are designed to make sure you feel supported throughout your time with us.

  • We’ve secured a legal route that allows us to continue offering puberty blockers. If this is something you’re exploring, we’ll explain everything clearly during the intake process, including how it works and what your options are.

  • We raise money year-round to provide free and subsidised gender-affirming care for those who cannot otherwise afford it.

Visit our Crowdfunder for full details and to make a donation. You can also make a one-off donation via our website.

Every donation helps us reach more people who need support.

  • We offer free and subsidised places thanks to donations from our community. These spots are limited, but we’ll announce whenever new applications open. You can also follow us on social media for updates.

Keep an eye on our fundraising for the latest updates on when new funding rounds will open.

  • No. At Anne Health, we use an informed consent model. That means you don’t need to socially transition before starting hormone therapy.

Everyone’s journey looks different, and we’re here to support you in a way that works for you.

  • We work with clinicians based across the UK and the EU.

For prescriptions, young people are matched with EU-based prescribers. Over-18s may be matched with EU or UK prescribers.

  • Please let us know right away. If your pharmacy won’t accept your prescription, we can issue you a new one and help you find a different pharmacy. We also keep a database of pharmacies that have been trans-friendly and supportive in the past.

We can also provide guidance for UK pharmacies on accepting digital prescriptions.

  • This is a common concern, and one we take seriously. Our clinicians follow guidance from the Endocrine Society and WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health), which focuses on development stage rather than age alone. This helps to avoid the potential impact on bone health from a prolonged period without hormones.

We’ll work closely with you and your child to reduce any risks. As part of your membership, you’ll have access to a trusted endocrinologist who has lots of experience supporting young people exploring their gender.

  • Then we will help even more people to access the benefits of membership with Anne.

  • We will fund as many people as we can from the available funds, although we hope to achieve this target if not more.

  • As a not-for-profit all of the funds raised will go directly into funding healthcare for those who cannot afford it. When we began to plan our vision for Anne, our number one priority was to provide quality healthcare to trans people of all ages. We created the kind of service we would have wanted our loved ones to be able to access, whilst the NHS failed them.

Now that our paid-for service is established we wanted to explore ways in which we can provide care to those who cannot afford it and the crowdfunder is one of these routes.

  • Yes. As long as your financial situation remains unchanged and you’re unable to afford the care yourself, you’ll continue receiving coverage.

Each year, you’ll be asked to show proof of benefits and income so we can ensure the funds go to those in greatest need. If your financial circumstances improve, we simply ask you to step aside so someone else can benefit from this support.

  • Yes. While most applicants act in good faith, it’s crucial to ensure the funding continues to support those who need it most.

Each year, recipients will be asked to provide proof of benefits and income. If someone’s financial circumstances improve and they can cover their own care, we kindly ask them to step aside so that funding can go to another person who truly needs the support.

  • Your donation will go directly toward funding gender-affirming healthcare for transgender people who can’t afford private care. We’re committed to transparency, and you’ll receive updates about the impact your support is making, including the number of people your generosity has helped.

  • The funds will cover Anne membership services only.
