The professionals are amazing, warm and friendly but very knowledgeable, contact with people with real, lived experience is a wondrous thing. We are so grateful to you all at Anne Health."

Our approach

Expert gender-affirming care, designed around you

From hormones and puberty blocker guidance to blood tests, counselling, and the admin that keeps it all moving. We’ve got you covered. All delivered by qualified clinicians and therapists who know gender-affirming care inside out.

Most of your care happens online through secure video calls, so it’s easy to get the support you need at home. And when it matters (like for blood tests) we’ll arrange in-person support too.

Anne works on a simple membership model, with different plans giving you different levels of support.

Our story

Born from love, built on experience

Anne exists because we’ve lived through the gaps in the system and refused to accept them.

We’re a not-for-profit created by parents, community leaders and clinicians who’ve spent decades supporting trans+ people and their families. We built Anne because the people we love couldn’t get the care they needed.

We only charge because we have to. Every penny goes back into improving access, quality and safety. This isn’t business for us, it’s personal. And we’re here to help make your path easier.

Frequently Asked Questions

View some of the most asked questions, or search below for a question you might have.

Or you can easily speak to us using one of the options below between 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, or send us an email and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

  • Yes. All counselling and medical appointments happen online through video call, so you can attend from wherever you feel most comfortable.

  • If you need more mental health support during your time with us, we offer extra counselling sessions at a reduced rate.

Our counsellors are experienced in gender-affirming care and many have worked with trans+ people and their families for years. They’re here to support you, wherever you are in your journey.

  • There are a few ways to get your blood tests done, you can choose what works best for you. Blood tests can either be done with your GP, at one of our partner clinics or at your home with the mobile phlebotomy service.

    With your GP

If you choose to go through your GP, we will always provide full details to you and your GP.

At one of our partner clinics

If you prefer to visit one of our partner clinics, we’ll make the referral and send you an email with instructions for booking your test. You’ll attend your appointment, and your results will be sent directly to us from the lab.

The cost of clinic blood tests is included in your monthly membership fee.

At home with a mobile blood test service

If you choose to use the at-home service, you’ll receive an email with instructions for booking an appointment. A mobile phlebotomist will visit you at home to draw your blood, and the sample will be posted to the lab. The results will then be sent directly to us.

Please note that if there’s a clinic near you offering appointments, choosing our mobile phlebotomy service instead may come with an additional charge.

No matter which option you choose, we’ll guide you through it and make sure you have everything you need.

  • The cost to write your prescriptions is included in your membership. You’ll need to pay separately for the medication itself.

Prices vary based on what you’re prescribed, your dose, and where you get it filled.

  • Our care is based on informed consent, but there is still a process to follow.

All members go through our intake process, where we’ll work with you to make sure hormone therapy is the right next step and that you understand what it involves.

  • If you’re prescribed hormone therapy, we’ll send you a digital prescription you can take to a local pharmacy. If you’re over 18, we can also connect you with a UK pharmacy that delivers to your home.

If you’re under 18 and accessing puberty blockers through our legal route, we’ll give you all the information you need to order, pay for, and administer the medication safely.

  • It can take up to 12 weeks to complete the intake process. However, this varies depending on your individual circumstances, such as the number of counselling sessions required, your availability for appointments and your blood test preference.

Joining Anne starts with an intake process that typically takes up to 12 weeks. The exact timeline depends on your situation, like how many therapy sessions you need, your schedule, and how you’d prefer to do your blood tests.

For more detailed information, see our guide to joining Anne.

  • Yes. We can write surgery referral letters for both members and non-members. But it’s important to know that each surgical provider has their own rules, so we can’t guarantee they’ll accept our letters.

Once you’ve chosen a surgeon, you can ask them directly if they accept referrals from Anne Health. If needed, we’re happy to reach out to them ourselves to explain who we are and how we work.
