Who is eligible to apply for free or partially funded gender-affirming care?

This funding is for UK-based trans, non-binary and gender-diverse people who are facing financial difficulty and are unable to afford private gender-affirming care.

To be eligible, you must:

• Live in the United Kingdom
• Be currently receiving a qualifying means-tested benefit and able to provide valid evidence
• Not have previously accessed gender-affirming care through a private provider. Self-medicating or DIY hormone use will not affect your eligibility.
• Have parental or carer consent if under 18

Due to limited funding, this round is strictly limited to applicants who are currently in receipt of a means-tested benefit. Parents or carers applying for someone under 18 must provide a recent Child Benefit statement.

Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee funding.
