Anne Health Stands in Solidarity with Trans People in USA Amidst Devastating New Anti-Trans Executive Order
The latest executive order signed by President Donald Trump is a direct attack on trans youth and their right to essential, life-saving healthcare. Titled "Protecting Children From Chemical And Surgical Mutilation," the order bans access to gender-affirming medical care for individuals under the age of 19, further escalating an already dire situation for trans people and their families across the United States.
This devastating move follows last week’s decision to halt passport applications with “X” gender markers, signalling a broader campaign against trans rights. Under the new order, the federal government will no longer fund, support, or allow access to gender-affirming treatments such as puberty blockers, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), or gender-affirming surgeries. Even federally-run insurance programs, including Medicaid and Tricare, will be prohibited from covering these medically recognised treatments.
At Anne Health, we cannot stay silent in the face of this injustice.
