Anne was founded in 2024 by Susie Green and Lizzie Jordan, alongside clinicians, parents, and community members with lived experience. We came together with a shared goal: to create a service that centres compassion, expertise, and dignity for every trans+ person.
We launched Anne in response to a clear need: timely, supportive, gender-affirming healthcare that puts people, not systems, at the heart of care.
Our vision is simple: a future where every trans+ person feels seen, heard, and respected throughout their healthcare journey. If it’s not good enough for the ones we love, it’s not good enough for you.
For Lizzie, Anne is equally personal. She has supported loved ones through their transitions and, living openly with HIV for over 15 years, has used her experience to drive health system change for underserved communities.
As founder and CEO of Think2Speak, and as a Non-Executive Director of The Love Tank, Lizzie has spent more than a decade supporting LGBTQ+ youth and families. She brings deep experience in advocacy, community health, and inclusive care to Anne Health.
Susie’s lifelong commitment to supporting trans youth and their families began over 28 years ago, when her daughter Jackie shared at age four that she was a girl. Seeking support, Susie connected with the charity Mermaids when Jackie was six, and later pursued medical care through Dr. Norman Spack’s Boston GEMs clinic after the NHS denied treatment for under-16s.
Through her work with Mermaids from 1999, as parent, trustee, and eventually CEO (2016 to 2022), Susie helped thousands of families navigate transition.
She also contributed to the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH), including the globally recognised Standards of Care Version 8 (SOC8), bringing her decades of expertise to the international stage.
