Does this funding go towards supporting young people get access to puberty blockers?

Yes, if the prescribing doctor, the family, and the young person decide this is the most appropriate care pathway. We have a legal route for accessing this safe, reversible and internationally recommended pathway in these circumstances. 

Despite the blocker ban being brought into place by our current government, we believe the ban to be politically motivated and is causing active harm. Politics has no place in healthcare, and the distress caused to young people and families is extreme.

We join nation and international organisations and experts in condemnation of the ban and the flawed Cass review and the NHS and governments actions following the publication of the review.
